I am Mr. Beck, welcome to my web page!  I teach U.S. Government and Economics, as well as a class of Psychology. I also teach the Advanced Placement level of Government (United States Government and Politics). I also help the coaches of the Academic Decathlon Team and serve as GATE Coordinator. I'm also the advisor to the ExQu club. I teach in room K-11 at West Covina High School. E-mail me anytime!

I have been teaching at West Covina High School since 1990. I received a bachelor's degree in Social Sciences with an American Studies emphasis at San Francisco State, class of 1986. I received my Single Subject Teaching Credential in 1988, and earned a Master's Degree in Leadership Studies from Azusa Pacific University in 1998.

I am married and have two sons and a daughter. Our 25 year-old works and goes to school in San Marcos and loves to skimboard. Our 12 year-old is in fifth grade and plays just about everything! Our little girl loves to go swimming, play on the swings, and people watch (although she is very shy sometimes).

I am the most passionate Kansas City Chiefs fan west of the Missouri river. If the Chiefs were to win the Super Bowl, I would go certifiably bananas, so be careful. We regularly attend Vineyard Christian Fellowship where my wife helps in the Children's Ministry. I also love to play basketball, so if any of you youngins' wanna take me on, you'll be sorry. You'll be sorry that you would destroy an old man's pride, not to mention his weak knees.
